The 2012 Northern Trust Open couldn't quite finish the second round on Friday, halted for darkness with eight players still on the course. However, none of those players are within striking distance of the lead so we have a pretty good idea of what the final pairings will be in Saturday's third round. Here are the relevant details of Saturday's golf from Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades.
Time: Play on the course will start at 6:45 a.m. PST, with David Hearn, Ryo Ishikawa, Hunter Haas, Erik Compton, Jordan Spieth (amateur), Danny Lee, Ted Potter Jr., and Austin Graham completing their second round.
TV: CBS will provide coverage beginning at noon, for three hours
Cut Line: Likely +3, as 77 golfers are currently at or below that line. Both Spieth (+4 through 16 holes) and Danny Lee (+5 through 16) still have a shot to make the cut with two holes remaining in their second round.
Final Pairings: Phil Mickelson (-6) and Pat Perez (-5) will end the day on Saturday as the top two players in the field. Jimmy Walker (-4) and Matt Kuchar (-4) will be paired, as will Carl Pettersson (-4) and Jarrod Lyle (-4). Jonathan Byrd (-4) and Marc Leishman (-3) will team up, as will Spencer Levin (-3) and Bubba Watson (-3), rounding out those within three shots of the lead.
