Northern Trust Open 2012: Pat Perez, Jarrod Lyle Shoot Low Round 65 To Keep Pace With Phil Mickelson

Phil Mickelson was able to hold his lead on Friday, shooting a one-under 70 in the second round of the 2012 Northern Trust Open at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades. Mickelson has led after each of the two rounds, and now at six under par holds a one-shot lead over Pat Perez, who along with Jarrod Lyle had the low rounds of the day with a 65.

"I didn't hit it like you'd think I would," Perez told the Associated Press. "I didn't drive it all that great. I just scrambled well. I put myself in the right places to make par or birdie."

Perez and Lyle each had six birdies on Friday in putting up the low rounds of the tournament. But Lyle might have had seven birdies but he missed an 18-foot par on the 10th hole to settle for par.
