Bracketology 2012: Joe Lunardi Has Long Beach State A No. 11 Seed

The Long Beach St. 49ers remain on track for an NCAA tournament bid, staying undefeated in the Big West Conference, going 12-0 overall. While they haven't really faced (and won't face) a marquee opponent in their conference, winning can't hurt their seeding.

Joe Lunardi of ESPN released his latest bracketology, and Long Beach State goes as an 11th seed. Long Beach State is matched up with the sixth-seeded Florida St. Seminoles, and if they somehow pull off the upset there would play either Marquette or Davidson.

A tough test awaits Long Beach State later this week when they play Creighton in a Bracket Busters matchup. LBSU is not expected to win this one, so an upset here would go a long way toward putting them in the driver's seat for a potential at-large bid if they foul up their tournament. LBSU probably can't feel comfortable until they win their tournament though.
