Christmas Day is always a centerpiece day in the NBA and this season both the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers are a part of the holiday slate this year.
The Lakers are the first game of the day at Staples Center as they host the New York Knicks at noon PT on ABC. The Lakers are still below .500 but have won their last three games while New York is atop the Eastern Conference.
The Clippers will have the final game of the night after the floors are changed at Staples Center, hosting the Denver Nuggets at 7:30 p.m. PT. The Clippers have shot to second in the Western Conference with a 12-game winning streak. That game will be televised on ESPN.
Outside of LA, the holiday basketball starts at 9 a.m. PT with the Boston Celtics facing the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center.
After the Lakers' game the attention will shift back out east for a rematch of last season's NBA Finals. At 2:30 p.m. PT the Miami Heat host the Oklahoma City Thunder. The battle between leaders from both conferences will be televised on ABC.
Following that game, James Harden and the Houston Rockets will visit the Chicago Bulls at 5 p.m. PT on ESPN before the Nuggets and Clippers wrap up the holiday schedule.
The team's will wear special edition uniforms for the holiday.
