College football bowl season is underway and both UCLA and USC are close to making their postseason appearance.
UCLA will return to the field first as the Bruins will play Baylor in the Holiday Bowl on December 27. UCLA enters the game with a 9-4 record and opportunity for its first 10-win season since 2005. The matchup with Baylor should produce plenty of points as both teams rank in the top 30 in points per game scored. The game, which will be played at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, is scheduled to kickoff at 6:45 p.m. PT and will be televised on ESPN.
Three days after the Bruins play in their bowl game, USC will return to the field to face Georgia Tech in the Sun Bowl. The Trojans will be making their first bowl appearance since 2009 after serving a two-year postseason ban. The matchup with Georgia Tech will feature opposite styles. While USC is 26th in the country in passing yards per game, the Yellow Jackets are 119th. Instead, Georgia Tech is fourth in the nation in rushing yards per game. The Sun Bowl will be televised on CBS with kickoff scheduled for 11 a.m. PT.
