The Los Angeles Lakers fell to the New York Knicks Thursday night, 116-107, again playing without Steve Nash and Pau Gasol. The loss, their fourth in a row, dropped the Lakers to 9-14 on the season.
There was one bright spot Thursday night for the struggling Lakers. It was revealed during the game that Nash, who has missed all but two games this season due to a fibula fracture, is planning to start practicing next week.
Steve Nash says he plans to return to practice next week. He has started running in the last couple days. No return game circled though

Nash's return would be a welcomed sight as the team has been forced to start either Chris Duhon or Darius Morris in the two-time MVP's place. Lakers power forward Pau Gasol also missed Thursday's game, his sixth straight, with tendonitis in both knees. There's no time frame for his return.
