Big Ten Championship Game: Nebraska, Wisconsin battle for Rose Bowl berth

The winner of Saturday night's game is going to the Rose Bowl.

The Big Ten Championship Game is finally here. The conference wasn't quite as strong this past year as it has been in recent years, but that hasn't stopped two talented teams from meeting up in the title game on Saturday.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers enter ranked No. 12 in the nation. They're a very well rounded team, armed with the eighth-best rushing attack and a solid defense that surrenders an average of just 22 points to their opponents each week. Nebraska tends to win when dual-threat quarterback Taylor Martinez plays well. The junior QB has thrown for 2,483 yards and 21 passing touchdowns this season, and he's rushed for 833 yards and eight more touchdowns.

The Wisconsin Badgers are just 7-5 this season, and they benefited greatly from playing in the Leaders Division. The Badgers rank 16th in the country in overall defense, surrendering just 18 points a week. Where Wisconsin has struggled this year is on offense, especially when tailback Montee Ball is unable to get going out of the backfield.

The winner of Saturday's game will head to the Rose Bowl in January. They'll face the Stanford Cardinal, which knocked off UCLA with a late field goal on Friday night.

Start Time, TV Schedule: 8:17 p.m. ET, FOX

Odds: Nebraska is favored by three points.
