On Wednesday, the Pac-12 conference announced that a crucial Nov. 24 matchup between Notre Dame and USC will be played at 5:00 p.m. PT on ABC.
For college football fans, the game between the two storied programs could be one of the marquee matchups of the entire 2012 season.
Notre Dame is currently undefeated at 9-0 and needs to win the remainder of their games to stay in the hunt for a BCS National Championship berth. Without a conference championship game to play in (Notre Dame is an independent in football), it will be the final game of the regular season for the Irish, and their final chance to impress pollsters, as well.
On the other sideline, it'll also be interesting to see how USC handles the game.
The Trojans had BCS title aspirations of their own in the preseason, but those hopes were dashed with back-to-back losses to Arizona and Oregon in the last two weeks. At 7-3, USC is one of the biggest disappointments in all of college football, but could play spoiler in their final regular-season game against one of their biggest rivals.
USC beat Notre Dame, 31-17, in South Bend last season.
