It could just be a quick trip down I-5 for UCLA Bruins fans to watch their team compete in the postseason. Jerry Palm at CBS Sports is predicting the Bruins will land in the Holiday Bowl in San Diego against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
The trip to Qualcomm Stadium and the Holiday Bowl would be a first for UCLA; they've never appeared in the bowl since it's inception in 1978. Texas Tech has made one appearance, a 2004 win over the Cal Golden Bears, 45-31.
No. 18 UCLA is fresh off a 66-10 drubbing of the Arizona Wildcats at the Rose Bowl on Saturday. UCLA will head up to the Palouse to face off against a struggling Washington State Cougars team this Saturday. After that, UCLA finishes the season against two rivals, the No. 19 USC Trojans and No. 14 Stanford Cardinal. The Red Raiders have lost two straight, including a 31-22 home loss to the No. 22 Texas Longhorns. They'll stay at home to face the hapless Kansas Jayhawks this Saturday followed by a trip to Stillwater to face the Oklahoma State Cowboys. They finish the season at home against the Baylor Bears.
