Having won six of their last seven games, the Los Angeles Clippers are currently just behind the top teams in the NBA.

The Clippers are 8-3 on the season, 1/2-game behind five teams tied for the best record in the NBA. Los Angeles had a chance to stake sole claim to the top spot in the standings, but the Clippers lost to Oklahoma City on Wednesday. Instead, Los Angeles will have to settle for a 1-1/2-game lead over the Golden State Warriors in the Pacific division.

The Los Angeles Lakers continue to dig themselves out of the 0-3 hole they started the season in and have moved up the standings. The Lakers are now 6-6 on the season which ties them for the seventh best record in the Western Conference. Los Angeles won three of its last four games, but was unable to makeup much ground on the Clippers and trail them by 2-1/2 games in the division.

While there is a five-way tie for the best record in the league, the Washington Wizards continue to occupy the cellar in the NBA. At 0-10, the Wizards are still looking for their first win of the season. The complete NBA standings can be found at Sports Illustrated.com.
