A wild weekend turned out to leave Rose Bowl projections relatively unchanged around the country, as for a second straight weekend, the Stanford Cardinal and Nebraska Cornhusker sit in the Rose Bowl spots in the latest projections from SB Nation.
Stanford's upset victory over the Oregon Ducks solidified the Cardinal's national ranking, and also put Stanford in control of their own destiny for a spot in the bowl. If Stanford can beat the UCLA Bruins next weekend, they would clinch the Pac-12's North division and a spot in the Pac-12 Championship Game, which would mean another meeting with the Bruins, which clinched the South division with a victory over the USC Trojans.
A Pac-12 title would lock up a Rose Bowl bid for the Cardinal.
Nebraska can lock up a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game with a victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes next weekend. A victory in the conference championship game would spell a berth in the Rose Bowl, as the Big Ten's champion is guaranteed a spot in the Rose Bowl unless the champion is selected for the BCS title game, which will not happen this year.
