Chivas USA did the unimaginable, scoring twice in stoppage time to force a 2-2 tie with FC Dallas in the season finale on the road on Sunday night.
Laurent Courtois and Juan Agudelo both found the back of net in the 90th and 94th minute, respectively. For FC Dallas, Jackson Goncalves and Fabian Castillo provided the scoring.
The draw ends Chivas' season on a streak of 14 winless games, a franchise record. In the 0-10-4 stretch, the team was outscored 37-10 en route to a last place finish in the Western Conference.
FC Dallas, meanwhile, ends its campaign one spot in the standings shy of the postseason with a 9-13-12 record. It missed the fifth and final playoff seed, attained by the Vancouver Whitecaps, by four points. FC Dallas led the entire MLS in ties this season.
The playoffs kick-off on Wednesday night when the Chicago Fire host the Houston Dynamo.
