NCAA Football Rankings, Week 9: USC climbs one spot to No. 8 in Coaches' Poll

After a convincing victory over Colorado, USC is up one spot in the latest USA Today Coaches' Poll.

A fourth straight victory was enough to give the USC Trojans a boost in the latest USA Today Coaches' Poll, as the Trojans climb from No. 9 to No. 8 in the latest iteration of the poll, which accounts for one-third of the BCS formula.

Sandwiched in between the No. 9 Oregon State Beavers and No. 7 Oklahoma Sooners, the Trojans are the third-highest one-loss team, trailing the Sooners and the LSU Tigers.

The entire nation continues to chase the undefeated Alabama Crimson Tide, which collected all 59 of the first-place votes. There was also some shake-up at the top, as the Kansas State Wildcats fall a spot to No. 4, just behind new the new No. 3 Florida Gators.
