After missing a majority of the Southern California Trojans' game against Utah, running back Curtis McNeal returned in USC's win over Washington and provided 58 yards on 11 carries. The senior exited the contest against the Utes with a head injury.

Lineman J.R. Tavai also made his return from an ankle injury suffered against Syracuse and recorded two tackles.

The Trojans, however, were without tight end Randall Telfer, who suffered an ankle injury against Utah. Against the Utes, Telfer made a one-handed touchdown catch and blocked a field goal, earning the Pac-12 Conference special teams player of the week.

UCLA, despite its victory over the Utes on Saturday, lost offensive lineman Simon Goines in the fourth quarter to a left knee injury. Goines did not return to the game and will be evaluated on Monday, according to Daily News Los Angeles:

"Simon tweaked his (left) knee," Mora said. "I don't know the extent of it. I'm sure we'll get it evaluated and have an MRI tomorrow."

Bruins quarterback Brett Hundley also aggravated his knee in the first quarter but managed to stay in the game.
