College Football Schedule 2012: USC Trojans trip to Washington headlines Pac-12 slate

A look at this weekend's key college football matchups.

Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

There are quite a few big games on the college football slate this weekend. As for the ones with ties to the Los Angeles area, all eyes will be on the USC Trojans as they travel to take on the Washington Huskies. This is a big game for Matt Barkley and Co. and they'll need a win to keep hope alive in the Pac-12 South. As for the UCLA Bruins, they welcome in the Utah Utes to town on Saturday afternoon.

In other Pac-12 action, the No. 10 Oregon St. Beavers look to stay undefeated without quarterback Sean Mannion. Mannion underwent knee surgery this week and will not play against the BYU Cougars. No. 17 Stanford has a big out of conference showdown with No. 7 Notre Dame at 3:30 p.m. ET.

The biggest game of the week features No. 3 South Carolina heading to Death Valley to take on No. 9 LSU. A win for the Gamecocks here could move them to second in the top 25. The Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns meet at noon to play the annual Red River Shootout.
