With five wins in their last seven games, the Loyola Marymount Lions have moved into a tie for third place in the West Coast Conference standings. LMU (13-9, 6-3) is tied with the BYU Cougars (18-6, 6-3), and each team is looking up at the two conference powers, the Saint Mary's Gaels (21-2, 10-0) and the Gonzaga Bulldogs (17-3, 7-1).
Loyola Marymount has a chance to continue their rise in the WCC, as they host a pair of games this week, against the Pepperdine Waves and San Francisco Dons, both of whom they have beaten on the road this season.
