Pepperdine Vs. Santa Clara Final Score: Jordan Baker, Waves Snap Losing Streak With 74-62 Win

Freshman guard Jordan Baker scored 15 points to lead the Pepperdine Waves to a 74-62 win over the Santa Clara Broncos at Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu on Saturday night, ending an eight-game losing streak for Pepperdine.

Baker leads the Waves (8-13, 2-8) in scoring in West Coast Conference play, averaging 13.2 points per game. He is second among freshman in the conference in scoring. Baker was one of four Waves to score in double figures on the night. Taylor Darby scored 14 points and Joshua Lowery scored 13 for Pepperdine. Center Corbin Moore added 11 points and 10 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season.

Evan Roquemore led Santa Clara (8-13, 0-8) with 15 points and five assists. Pepperdine shot 48.0% from the field on the night, including making six of eight shots from three-point range. Pepperdine next battles local foe Loyola Marymount Thursday night in Los Angeles in a game that will be televised by Prime Ticket.
