2012 Rose Bowl: Oregon WR Josh Huff Leaves Game After Apparent Head Injury

An unfortunate injury in the 2012 Rose Bowl, as Oregon wide receiver Josh Huff took what appears on reply to be a helmet to helmet hit, and got up woozy. The sophomore from Houston ran a crossing route over the middle, and was hit fairly hard as he was falling to the turf.

He tried to stand up, staggered his steps, then fell back down again. Huff is one of the best receivers Oregon has, at a position where the Ducks are already thin on the depth chart. Huff typically is back with DeAnthony Thomas to receive kickoffs as well.

Huff was hampered by a lower leg injury earlier in the year, which kept him sidelined. However, as he go himself healthy he continued to be a breakout player for the Oregon Ducks. It's unlikely he'll return to the game after taking that shot. No flag was thrown on the play.
