2012 NFL Draft Order: Colts, Rams, Vikings take Top Picks

Going into the final week of the season, it was between the Indianapolis Colts and the St. Louis Rams for the first pick in the NFL draft. With the Colts loss today, Indy will have the first pick in the draft despite both teams finishing with two wins. The league’s tiebreaker is weakness of schedule.

The Minnesota Vikings take the third pick, finishing with three wins. The Cleveland Browns will pick fourth, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fifth based on the Browns having a weaker schedule. The Washington Redskins will have the sixth pick and the Jacksonville Jaguars the seventh for the same reason.

Andrew Luck is the big prize this offseason, with Robert Griffin III’s decision also of great import. Oregon’s LaMichael James is a good bet to be a first round draft pick at running back.
