UCLA Vs. Stanford: Bruins Secondary Hit Hard With Injury

The UCLA Bruins must get ready to face Andrew Luck and the No. 6 Stanford Cardinal on the road this weekend. The team received some bad news today in the form of injuries to their defense. Defensive backs Sheldon Price and Alex Mascarenas will be out for Saturday's game, according to Chris Foster of the LA Times.

Price will be replaced in the starting line-up by Andrew Abbot, according to Foster. Recently returned Jamie Graham, who came back to the Bruins after an injury sidelined him for six weeks, may be called on to contribute right away.

The Bruins have another injury to worry about as well. Foster also reports that fullback Anthony Barr has a torn meniscus that could require surgery. Barr has only had four rushing attempts this season, but his injury does bite into the Bruins' depth at running back.

Besides Barr, the team will lack some of its established players on the field on Saturday. Other players will have to step up in order to pull off the upset.
