Noah Spence Top 7: USC, Penn State, UNC, UF, NC State, Notre Dame, Maryland

(via JoeCleezy3000)

The first thing you see when you notice Noah Spence is his solid fundamentals. Oh sure, the defensive end from Bishop McDevitt in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is a physical beast with a high motor, but his fundamentals will be what turn him into a great defender. His technique is well-polished and he's disciplined in his stance, and he should contribute very quickly at the next level.

Spence's dad revealed his top 7 to Mike Farrell of Rivals earlier today. Here are his rankings from the various recruiting services. If we were to go by proximity, you'd have to think Penn State and Maryland are the two likeliest candidates to make further cuts.

  • Rivals: 3rd best weakside defensive end, top recruit in Pennsylvania, 13th best recruit in Rivals250
  • ESPN: Grade of 86, 4th in ESPNU150, 2nd best defensive end
  • Scout: Top defensive end, 5 stars
  • 247 Sports: Rating of 97, 2nd best weakside defensive end, top recruit in Pennsylvania, 32nd in Top 247.
