The sports television schedule for Saturday is heavily skewed toward the evening, made for a perfect day to hit the beach before returning to the comfort of the couch and/or recliner. Baseball and soccer rule the day, but for nostalgia one can also watch Magic Johnson and the 1991 Lakers. Here is the Saturday schedule:
1 p.m. - Lakers vs. Warriors: 1991 NBA Western Conference Semifinals Game 2 (NBA TV)
Magic and the Lakers did make the NBA Finals in 1991, but they lost this game to the Run TMC Warriors. New Hall of Famer Chris Mullin poured in 41 points to lead Golden State.
4:30 p.m. - Chivas USA at New England (CSNE)
This isn't televised locally, but DirecTV users will be able to watch.
5 p.m. - Dodgers at Diamondbacks (Prime Ticket)
Nate Eovaldi makes his major league debut against Joe Saunders for Arizona
6 p.m. - Mariners at Angels (Fox Sports West)
A pair of rookie hurlers take the mound, with Tyler Chatwood facing Blake Beavan
8:30 p.m. - FC Dallas at L.A. Galaxy (Prime Ticket)
This match starts at 7:30 p.m., but will be shown on delay once the Dodger postgame show is over.
