USC Trojans Basketball Roster Addition: Danilo Dragovic, Brother Of UCLA Star Nikola

Desperate times call for desperate measures. And for the USC Trojans basketball team, short their top scorer, producer and best guard, things could not be more desperate for their 2011-12 campaign. They had to call on an old friend. Well, not really a friend. More like a former foe, who kind of turned into a friend when his teams got pummeled in head-to-head matchups.

USC Associate Head Coach Bob Cantu tweets that a Dragovic is coming to Los Angeles basketball--Danilo Dragovic, a 6'4" combo guard from North Hollywood-Harvard Westlake. If that name sounds familiar, it's because it is. Danilo is the brother of former UCLA Bruins forward Nikola Dragovic, which makes you wonder how much Nikola is pumping the blue and gold pom-poms in the family.

Nikola wasn't much beloved by the UCLA fanbase because of erratic shooting and effort in games. Not much is known of Danilo because he didn't play his senior season after failing to gain eligibility, but USC could use any hands right now, even ones they're not sure will do anything productive. Danilo has said Nikola has sped up his development to American rules, so he might be further along to help out the Trojans earlier rather than later.
