Markeith Ambles Reportedly Transferring From USC To Community College

The Markeith Ambles odyssey at Heritage Hall is apparently nearing an end. Whitney Blaine of Fox Sports & Scout reports that Ambles is transferring out of USC to an unknown community college, where he'll actually play baseball along with football.

After joining up with one of the best receiving recruiting classes in the country in 2010 that included Kyle Prater and Robert Woods, Ambles has only encountered setback after setback. After being judged ineligible for the fall 2010 campaign from summer grades, it figured that Ambles would have to look elsewhere to continue his football career, because the chances of him cracking the depth chart in USC seemed relatively remote.

USC's receiving corps isn't too deeply hurt by Ambles's transfer; they have Woods, Brandon Carswell, Prater, Nic Curry Marqise Lee and George Farmer all lined up to play now or soon. But Ambles will have to do a lot of soul-searching and maturing if he plans on getting back on track to make it to the pros.
