Brandon Willis Reportedly Transfers From North Carolina To UCLA. Again.

Yes, you read this right. Brandon Willis is likely heading back to Westwood from Chapel Hill. For the second time in two years.

Jonathan Gold, UCLA beat writer for the Los Angeles Daily News, reports that the talented defensive tackle will be transferring back to the Bruins from the Tar Heels this offseason. Willis originally said that he was transferring back to North Carolina to be close to his family, but I guess when head coach Butch Davis got fired, his grandma got better. Or he had another change of heart, which would be his third change of heart in under a year.

Regardless of the irregularity of a recruit transferring to the same school from the same school twice, it isn't that strange to see Willis choose to come back to UCLA. Bruins head coach Rick Neuheisel left the window open for Willis's return if he chose to came back. And UCLA will be happy to have Willis, who will very likely have to sit out this season but could be ready as early as 2012 and help shore up what could be one of the most talented defensive line units in the Pac-12.
