College Football Rankings: USC Trojans Ranked No. 25 In Preseason AP Poll

The Associated Press preseason college football poll is out, and the USC Trojans will open their season with their lowest ranking in 10 seasons. The Trojans are No. 25 in the opening poll, one of three Pac-12 teams in the top 25, along with No. 3 Oregon and No. 7 Stanford. Here is the AP top 10:

  1. Oklahoma (36 first place votes)
  2. Alabama (17 first place votes)
  3. Oregon (four first place votes)
  4. LSU (one first place vote)
  5. Boise St (two first place votes)
  6. Florida St
  7. Stanford
  8. Texas A&M
  9. Oklahoma St
  10. Nebraska

USC began the 2001 season, its first under head coach Pete Carroll, unranked, but have been ranked in the AP preseason poll ever since:
