Chase Eldredge (OL, Palos Verdes) Commits To Oregon State Beavers

Chase Eldredge became the third offensive line recruit for the Oregon St. Beavers this offseason, joining Gavin Andrews from Granite Bay and Isaac Seumalo from Corvallis. Oregon State needs big offensive linemen, and they're definitely filling that need with this year's class. Angie Machado of Beaver Blitz has more.

Eldredge is a local boy from Palos Verdes, but isn't as highly recruited as many of the major offensive linemen in the 2011 West Coast recruiting class. His only offer at the time of his commitment was from Oregon State. His tape doesn't reveal him to be an elite athlete; however, there are signs of promise that he could develop into something more.

Eldredge has good burst off the snap and is very good at concentrating his power upward, pushing his man back and down. He's good at keeping his body in place and ensuring defenders don't get past him. There's a lot to like in his technique as a run blocker and he can hopefully develop into a solid pro down the line.
