It's rather surprising to see a college football head coach get down on their players or publicly ridicule them for poor behavior, but Markeith Ambles of the USC Trojans might be one of those exceptions where chastising is required. Ambles has had off-the-field issues ever since he followed Lane Kiffin and Ed Orgeron from Tennessee to USC, and they continue to dog him in Los Angeles.
It looks like the classroom could be his ultimate downfall. Scott Wolf of Inside USC reports that Kiffin believes Ambles will NOT be eligible after the posting of summer grades, which could mean academic ineligibility and the end of Ambles's sophomore season if he doesn't clear up these issues. With the USC receiving corps filled with young, exciting talent, Ambles might soon have to consider transfer options, because it's not looking like he'll be making an impact as a Trojan anytime soon.
