Red Hot Angels Look For Third Straight Win Over Mariners

The Angels look to clinch their eight straight series win on Saturday as they host the Seattle Mariners in the third game of a four-game series in Anaheim. Joel Pineiro gets the start for the Angels, who are 9-2 in the first 11 games of a 13-game homestand. Michael Pineda gets the start for Seattle.

Pineiro is 4-3 with a 3.90 ERA in 13 starts this season. He is coming off a win over Detroit in which he allowed just one run in seven innings. He has not yet faced the Mariners this season. The Angels are 4-3 against Seattle this season.

Pineda is 8-5 with a 2.58 ERA on the season with 106 strikeouts in 108 innings. He has pitched five or more innings in each of his first 17 career starts, the longest streak ever by a Mariner to start his career. Seattle has lost three straight, and 11 of their last 17 games.

Tonight's 6:05 p.m. PDT game will be televised by Fox Sports West. For more news and information on the Angels, or on tonight's game, be sure to read the SB Nation blog Halos Heaven.
