Kristofer O'Dowd Signs As Undrafted Free Agent With Arizona Cardinals

With the NFL lockout now over, the league is about to undergo an absolute frenzy of transactions, beginning Tuesday with the signing of undrafted free agents. One of those free agents was Kristofer O'Dowd, the former USC offensive lineman, who signed with his hometown team, the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday morning. O'Dowd announced the move on Twitter Monday night.

O'Dowd graduated from Salpointe Catholic High School in nearby Tucson, and was a highly-regarded recruit by the Trojans. He became the first true freshman ever to start at center for USC. Injuries plagued his college career, but he managed to start all 13 games as a senior last season. O'Dowd was named First Team All Pac-10 in 2008.

KVOA in Tucson reported that O'Dowd will report to Cards' training camp on Friday, trying to win one of 53 spots on the roster. Arizona also has former Trojan lineman Deuce Lutui on its roster.
