Billingsley, Dodgers Look To Close Out Nationals In Series Finale

The Dodgers look to win their second consecutive home series on Sunday, facing the Nationals in the rubber game of a three-game set at Dodger Stadium. Chad Billingsley gets the start for the Dodgers, seeking his ninth win of the season. Jason Marquis starts for Washington.

The Dodgers busted out of their offensive shell on Saturday night, stunning the Nats with a 7-6 comeback win, capped by a walk-off double by Rafael Furcal in the ninth inning. The Dodgers had scored nine runs in their previous six games before last night's outburst. "Yeah, it was nice to see it. We've seen it at times where we have been able to score and it's been more of a team attack and not just one or two guys," manager Don Mattingly said after the game Saturday night. "Fookie [Furcal] gets a huge hit, this kid has been going hard and taking some heat. It is good to see him get that in tonight."

Billingsley had a rough outing in his last start, Monday in San Francisco. He allowed five runs and nine hits in 5 1/3 innings, suffering his eighth defeat of the season. Billingsley is 8-8 with a 4.07 ERA in 20 starts this season. The Dodgers have scored two total runs in Billingsley's last three starts.
