Dodgers Battle Diamondbacks Seeking Sixth Straight Win

The Dodgers look for their sixth straight win on Saturday night, facing the Diamondbacks at Chase Field in Phoenix. The Dodgers have seven quality starts in their last nine games. Hiroki Kuroda gets the call for the Dodgers, looking to continue a trend of Dodger starting pitchers of late:

Kuroda is 6-10 with a 3.06 ERA on the season, and he has a 2.32 ERA in his last seven starts. In nine career starts against the Diamondbacks, Kuroda is 2-4 with a 4.50 ERA, with 10 walks and 41 strikeouts in 46 innings.

Ian Kennedy gets the start for the Diamondbacks. He is 9-3 with a 3.44 ERA this season, including a win over the Dodgers on May 15 at Dodger Stadium. In his last three starts at Chase Field, Kennedy has allowed six runs in 23 innings, a 2.35 ERA, with five walks and 21 strikeouts.

Matt Kemp hit his first home run in 13 games on Friday night, and also drove in four runs. He has 23 home runs and 71 RBI on the season, one home run and two RBI off the league lead. The last Dodger to lead the league in RBI was Tommy Davis in 1962. The Dodgers have won 10 of their last 14 games in Arizona.
