NCAA Baseball Tournament: L.A. Region Friday Schedule Highlighted By UCLA Vs. San Francisco

The 2011 NCAA Baseball Tournament gets underway Friday, as the top 64 teams in college baseball vie for one of eight spots in the College World Series in Omaha. In the Los Angeles region, top seed and host UCLA battles San Francisco in the opener of this weekend double elimination tournament. The first game as a battle between No. 2 seed Fresno State against No. 3 seed UC Irvine. Here is Friday's schedule:

2 p.m. - No. 2 seed Fresno St vs. No. 3 seed UC Irvine

6 p.m. - No. 1 seed UCLA vs. No. 4 San Francisco

The Bruins open with starter Gerrit Cole, who may be a top three pick in next week's MLB draft. Kyle Zimmer (5-3, 4.08) starts for the Dons. This game will be streamed live on UCLABruins.com.
