Angels Close Out Series With Mets At Citi Field

The Angels try to win their second straight road series on Sunday morning as they close out a weekend interleague series with the Mets at Citi Field. Tyler Chatwood gets the start for the Angels, looking for his fourth win of the season. Jon Niese starts for New York.

Chatwood is 3-4 with a 4.20 ERA on the season, but is coming off his worst start of the season. He allowed five runs in Sunday's loss to Kansas City. Niese is 5-5 with a 3.51 ERA for the Mets. He is the fourth left-handed starting pitcher the Angels have faced in the first six-games of their 12-game road trip. The Angels are 2-1 in the previous three against southpaws.

The Angels are 27-10 on the road in interleague play since 2007, the best record in MLB. The Angels are 5-10 in June, and have scored three runs or less in 11 of their 15 games this month. Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Mets was the 20th time the Angels have been held to one run or less this season.

Today's 10:10 a.m. PDT game will be televised by Fox Sports West. For more news and information on the Angels, or on today's game, be sure to read the SB Nation blog Halos Heaven.
