Clayton Kershaw takes the mound for the Dodgers on Tuesday night against the Reds looking for a better finish to his outing than he had in each of his last two starts. Kershaw in each of his last two outings has given up no runs through the first five innings, only to give up runs in each of the next two frames. Kershaw has allowed six runs in each of those starts, including 10 days ago in a no-decision against the Reds in Cincinnati.
Johnny Cueto gets the call for the Reds tonight, looking for his fourth win of the season. The right-hander has been great this year through his first seven starts, at 3-2 with a 1.93 ERA, and on the road he is 2-1 with a 1.67 ERA, eight walks, and 18 strikeouts in 27 innings. The Reds took the opener of the series Monday night, 6-4.
