Tyler Chatwood, Angels Take On Royals In Final Game Of Road Trip

As they close-out their 6-game road trip with the final game of their 3-game series with Kansas City, the Angels (29-28) start the month of June in third place in the AL West division, one game behind the Texas Rangers and a half game behind the surprising Seattle Mariners.  The Halos missed an opportunity to start the month atop of the division when they lost Tuesday night to the Royals, 7-3.

The Angels look to Tyler Chatwood to get them back on track in Wednesday afternoon's game.  Chatwood (3-2, 4.13 ERA) received a no-decision in the first game of their current road trip and is making his first start against the Royals.  In his previous start against the Minnesota Twins, the rookie right-hander allowed four runs on eight hits in 5.2 innings.

The Royals will send Felipe Paulino to the hill.  Paulino (0-0, 0.00 ERA) is making his first start for Kansas City after being acquired for cash considerations from the Colorado Rockies last Thursday.  In 14.2 innings for Colorado, the right-hander had allowed 12 runs on 23 hits as a reliever, compiling an ERA of 7.26.  Paulino is 5-20 with a 5.12 ERA as a starter.
