On Friday June 3rd, when Los Angeles Galaxy fans tune in to Fox Soccer Channel to watch their club take on DC United, they’ll notice things look a bit different. As part of Fox Sports’ continuing effort to fold Fox Soccer into it’s brand, the channel has launched Soccer Night In America. With new redesigned graphics and super slo-motion camera technology, MLS soccer broadcasts on Fox Soccer Channel are going to start looking more and more like Fox’s American rules football and baseball coverage. Those watching the UEFA Champions League may have noticed Fox Soccer broadcasting out of what looked suspiciously like the Fox NFL Sunday studios. Not that soccer is the only sport Fox has given the football treatment. Late last year Fox MLB game of the week started using the NFL Sunday music.
↵The first broadcast of Soccer Night in America will be this Friday, as the Portland Timbers host Philadelphia Union.
