In the tightly-packed American League West, the Angels' one-hit loss to the Minnesota Twins on Saturday knocked them from first place to third place in the division. Anthony Swarzak of the Twins didn't allow a hit until Peter Bourjos doubled with one out in the eighth inning on Saturday, a game won by Minnesota in 10 innings, 1-0. The Rangers battered the Royals 1-0 to regain first place in the AL West

The Angels have been in first place for 21 days this season. After finishing their series on Sunday with the Twins, the Angels move on to Kansas City for a three-game series with the Royals. Texas on Monday begins a road trip in Tampa Bay, while Seattle hosts Baltimore. Oakland, meanwhile, hosts the Yankees for three games beginning Monday night.
