Dodgers Vs. Marlins: Hiroki Kuroda Gets The Start Against Bullpen Game For Florida

The Dodgers look for their second straight win over the Marlins on Saturday night at Dodger Stadium. Hiroki Kuroda gets the start for the Dodgers, against Brian Sanches for Florida. The Dodgers beat the Marlins Friday night on a walk-off single by Dioner Navarro in the ninth inning.

Kuroda is 5-4 with a 3.11 ERA in 10 starts this season. He has pitched a quality start in seven of his last 10 outings. In five career starts against Florida, Kuroda is 1-1 with a 3.12 ERA.

Sanches is 12-6 with a 3.21 in his career, which has consisted of 166 relief appearances. Tonight is his first major league start. Manager Edwin Rodriguez said Sanches will be on a pitch count of 50 to 60 and is expected only to throw three or four innings. Sanches picked up the win in relief against the Dodgers in Miami on April 25. Jay Buente was originally scheduled to start Saturday, but was designated for assignment earlier this week, then claimed by Tampa Bay.

Tonight's 7:10 p.m. PDT game will be televised on Prime Ticket. For more news and information on the Dodgers, or on tonight's game, be sure to read the SB Nation blog True Blue LA.
