Galaxy Stop Revolution, Win 0-1 In New England

With DP Juan Pablo Angel back in Los Angeles resting, Miguel Lopez of the Los Angeles Galaxy was able to get his first goal of the season in the 69'. Back from a quick stop in Manchester, David Beckham was the one who crossed it in during the run of play. It was a well earned three points for the LA Galaxy, doing what few MLS teams have been able to do this year, win after a cross country trip.

While the Galaxy didn't dominate possession the way Barcelona was able to do against Manchester United, they did manage to hold the ball for 58% of the match. David Beckham was able to pad his lead in the assist category, although Golden Boot candidate Landon Donovan didn't have a shot on goal. This despite starting the match at forward in place of Angel, with Miguel Lopez starting in midfield.

Next up for the Galaxy is a home match against DC United, part of Fox Soccer's Soccer Night In America. The Galaxy have two matches in a row at home, before finishing June on the road. This is the Galaxy's last match with Landon Donovan before he joins the US National Team, and Donovan Ricketts joins the Jamaican team for the Gold Cup.
