After Friday night's improbable comeback win, the Dodgers look for another win in Chicago against the White Sox on Saturday. Jon Garland, who pitched for the White Sox for eight seasons, pitches for the Dodgers against his friend and former teammate Mark Buehrle of Chicago. The Dodgers pulled out a 6-4 win in 10 innings Friday night.
Garland is 1-3 with a 3.55 ERA this season, and has averaged 6 1/3 innings per start. He has pitched five straight quality starts but hasn't won since April 20 thanks in part to poor run support. The Dodgers have scored 15 runs in Garland's six starts this season, an average of 2.5 per game.
Speaking of quality starts, Buehrle has thrown four straight quality starts and is 3-3 with a 4.07 ERA on the season. The White Sox have won each of his last three starts.
Today's 11:10 a.m. PDT game will be televised on KCAL and MLB Network. For more news and information on the Dodgers, or on today's game, be sure to read the SB Nation blog True Blue LA.
