Dodgers In Search Of Win, Offense Against Pirates At PNC Park

The Dodgers are in desperate need of offense, and in desperate need of a win as they battle the Pirates Tuesday night in the second game of a four-game series at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. Ted Lilly gets the start for the Dodgers, making his fourth road start of the season. In three previous starts in the gray Dodger uniform, Lilly is 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA.

Lilly is needed to pitch well because the Dodgers' offense is nonexistent of late. They have scored 3.56 runs per game this season, 14th in the National League, and in their last 13 games have averaged a paltry 2.54 runs per contest. The Dodgers have lost nine of their last 13 games. The Dodgers have scored two or fewer runs in six of their last nine games.

Kevin Correia gets the start for the Pirates, who are looking for their third consecutive victory. Correia, who started opening day for Pittsburgh, is 5-2 with a 2.91 ERA this season and is tied for the NL lead in wins this season. Tonight's 4:05 p.m. PDT game will be televised by KCAL.
