Garland, Dodgers Look To Win Series With Padres

The Dodgers try to take the series finale with the Padres on Sunday at Dodger Stadium, and will do so sending former Padre Jon Garland to the hill. Dustin Moseley gets the start for San Diego. Today's 1:10 p.m. PDT game will be televised by Prime Ticket.

Andre Ethier is sitting on a 26-game hitting streak, which is the second-longest hitting streak ever by a Los Angeles Dodger. Willie Davis holds the franchise record with a 31-game hitting streak in 1969. The 26-game streak was an MLB record for April, but today is the first day of May.

Garland is 1-1 with a 3.60 ERA in three starts this season, including allowing just two runs in 16 innings over his last two starts. Over the last 13 games, Dodgers starting pitchers have a 2.77 ERA and have averaged 6.74 innings per start.

Moseley is 0-3 this season, but has a 1.99 ERA. He hasn't benefited from Petco Park, either, as he has a 3.75 ERA at home this season and a 0.92 ERA on the road. The five runs scored by the Padres last night represented just the third time in the last 12 games that San Diego scored more than two runs.
