Tyler Chatwood Looks For First Home Win Tonight Against Oakland

The Los Angeles Angels will face the Oakland Athletic in the second game of their 3-game series Tuesday night in Anaheim.  After taking the first game 5-0 behind Jered Weaver's second consecutive complete-game victory, the Angels (13-10) look to rookie right-hander Tyler Chatwood to help salvage the home stand.  With 4 straight loses to Boston prior to Monday's win, the Halos would like to return to their winning-ways while Chatwood (1-1, 3.50 ERA) would like his first home win.

In his last start, Chatwood went 6 innings against the Red Sox, giving up 2 runs, but also issuing 5 walks.  Facing the Angels will be right-hander Brandon McCarthy (1-1, 2.10 ERA).  McCarthy pitched well enough to win his last start had he been given any run support, but ended up taking the 1-0 loss after going the distance in Seattle.  In that game, he allowed just the one run on 4 hits, and striking out six.

Angel Hot Hitters:
Peter Bourjos - 10 for his last 24, 1 HR, 5 runs scored

Angel Cold Hitters:
Mark Trumbo - 1 for his last 20, .050
Torii Hunter - 2 for his last 19, .105

Game time is 7:05 (Pacific) and will be show in Prime.  For more Angels news,  be sure to check out Halo Heaven.
