Dodgers Vs. Braves: L.A. Looks To Get Back To .500 With Win In Series Finale

The Los Angeles Dodgers look to get back to .500 with a win Thursday afternoon in the series finale with the Atlanta Braves at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers have taken two of the first three games of this series, and will send Clayton Kershaw to the mound to start on getaway day. Jair Jurrjens takes the hill for the Braves.

Dodger starting pitching has had quite a run in their last four games, allowing just three total runs in 30 1/3 innings. On the season, Dodger starters have a 3.95 ERA and are averaging 6.0 innings per start. The Dodger bullpen, which has a 6.17 ERA this season, will be well rested since Jon Garland threw a complete game Wednesday night in the Dodgers' 6-1 win.

Andre Ethier has a 17-game hitting streak, the longest in MLB this season. He is starting to heat up with the extra-base hit as well, with five doubles and a home run in his last five games. Ethier hit the 100th home run of his career Wednesday night, making him the 24th player in franchise history to reach the century mark in home runs.

Jurrjens is making his second start of the season, having pitched seven scoreless innings in his first start last weekend. The Dodgers will be wearing throwback uniforms today, one of six times they will wear an alternate powder blue uniform from the 1940s. Here is a look at the uniforms:
