The Los Angeles Dodgers will look for their third straight win on Tuesday night as they host the Atlanta Braves in the second game of a four-game series. The Dodgers won the first game of the series Monday night, in the MLB debut of Jerry Sands, who had a double and a run batted in, and Ted Lilly pitched seven scoreless innings for the win. Hiroki Kuroda will try to extend the run by Dodgers' starting pitchers.
Chad Billingsley pitched eight scoreless innings on Sunday, followed by Lilly throwing seven scoreless on Monday. Kuroda is in search of his third win of the season, making his fourth start. Back on July 7, 2008, Kuroda took a no-hitter into the eighth inning in a win over the Braves. Kuroda settled for a one-hit shutout.
Brandon Beachy gets the start for the Braves. Both the Dodgers and Braves have scored four runs or less in 13 of their 17 games this season. They are the two lowest scoring teams in the National League.
