Angels Face Indians Tonight In Final Game Of Homestand

The Angels look to finish their current homestand by taking the final game of their 3-game series against the Cleveland Indians.  With a victory tonight, the Halos would complete their first homestand of the season with a record of 4-2 and a season record of 7-5.

The Angels will call on Ervin Santana (0-1, 3.68 ERA) to get that win.  Santana hasn't fared well against the Indians in his career, going 0-6 while posting a 5.14 ERA in nine starts.  With some run support, Santana may have gotten the win the last time he faced the Indians.  In that start on 9/16/10, Santana went 8 innings giving up just 4 hits and 2 runs, however the Angels lost 3-2 in extra-innings at Progressive Field.  Santana opened the the Angels current homestand with a loss to the Toronto Blue Jays by the score of 3-2, again suffering from a lack of run support from the Angels offense.

The Indians will counter with Carlos Carrasco (1-1, 5.68 ERA).  In 6 innings against the Mariners last Friday, Carrasco allowed just one run on 4 hits.  Carrasco faced the Angels last September.  In that game, he allowed 2 runs in 6 innings, getting a no-decision.
