NCAA Tournament West Regional Final: UConn Vs. Arizona, Game Preview, Game Time, TV, Lineups, Etc

The 2011 NCAA Tournament is down to the Elite Eight. Two regional finals take place today, with the West Regional Final this afternoon at Honda Center in Anaheim. Fresh off big wins over higher seeds on Thursday night, the UConn Huskies and Arizona Wildcats will do battle for the right to go the Final Four in Houston. Here are the relevant details of tonight's game:

  • Combatants: UConn (29-9); Arizona (30-7)
  • Seeds: No. 3 UConn, No. 5 Arizona
  • Tip-Off: 4:05 p.m. PDT
  • TV: CBS; Verne Lundquist, Bill Raftery, and Leslie Visser are on the call.
  • History: This is the fifth meeting between these schools, with UConn winning all four previous meetings. Their last meeting was a 79-70 Huskies win on November 22, 2005.
  • Final Fours: Arizona has gone to four Final Fours in school history (1988, 1994, 1997, 2001); UConn has gone to three (1999, 2004, 2009)
