The Los Angeles Clippers aim for their second home win in as many days this afternoon, as they battle the Phoenix Suns at Staples Center. The Clippers got Eric Gordon back yesterday in their win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, but today will be without DeAndre Jordan, who is in the hospital with a mild case of pneumonia. The Clippers and Suns have split two games this season, with each team winning at home.
Gordon hit five three-pointers yesterday against Cleveland, scoring 29 points in his return after missing 24 of the previous 26 games with a right wrist injury. Blake Griffin led the Clippers in scoring with 30 points, and also grabbed eight rebounds and eight assists. The Clippers are 19-16 at home this season.
The Suns won on Friday at home against Golden State, snapping a four-game losing streak. Phoenix is 15-18 on the road this season. The Suns beat the Clippers 116-108 in Phoenix on November 26, and the Clippers returned the favor with a 108-103 win at Staples Center on December 26.
