LA Galaxy Vs New England Revolution: Third Time's A Charm

The Galaxy had three different balls cross over the line in the first half. Unfortunately one one of them counted. Juninho’s 38’ strike from the top left corner of the box screeched past Revolution keeper Matt Reis, to equalize the game at 1-1. Juninho had an earlier goal waved off, after there was some contact between a Galaxy player and the keeper. A second apparent goal from Mike Magee was waved off as he was one of three players ruled offside.

The New England Revolution scored their goal early, as Sharlie Joseph had a ball scream head me in front of goal, after the Galaxy failed to properly clear a corner kick, and the ball was able to come back into the box. Things didn’t go so well for the Revs after that third minute goal, as Marko Perovic went down with an injury and had to be replaced. Sharlie Joseph also went down for a moment, but was able to return to the match.

The Galaxy have dominated possession and attempts, with the Revolution having only one other shot in the first half, at the 30’ mark, an attempt that was off target. The Galaxy had five shots on goal, which came to four saves from Matt Reis who is having a good match despite the conditions. David Beckham and Landon Donovan both had attempts on goal in the first half.
